Impact The A's will send Sean Manaea to the mound Friday and follow him with Frankie Montas on Saturday. The shuffle could be due to Bassitt throwing 24 pitches in Tuesday's All-Star Game, though the club has yet to comment on the change. Per Martin Gallegos of MLB.com, manager Bob Melvin said that Bassitt has an "excellent chance" of starting Sunday's series finale.

Fires seven strong innings in win Bassitt (10-2) earned the win Sunday over the Rangers after allowing just one run on four hits and a walk while striking out three over seven innings.
Impact Bassitt was in a nice groove Sunday, only letting one batter reach scoring position over seven innings of work. The one time the Rangers got to him was in the fifth when David Dahl led off the inning with a single and eventually scored from first on a double to deep right center by Nick Solak. It was an excellent bounce-back performance after the 32-year-old right-hander was pummeled for six runs in his last outing. Bassitt hasn't lost since April 6 and is tied for second heading into the All-Star break with 10 wins. He owns a 3.28 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 118:29 K:BB over 118 innings.

Humbled by Houston Bassitt didn't factor into the decision in Tuesday's 9-6 loss to the Astros, coughing up six runs on eight hits and a walk over 4.1 innings. He struck out six.
Impact The A's handed Bassitt a 6-2 lead after two innings but the right-hander couldn't make it stick, exiting the game in the fifth after Yordan Alvarez took him deep for the second time. Bassitt had delivered quality starts in three straight outings coming into Tuesday and hadn't allowed more than four runs in a start all year, so he probably gets a mulligan on this one. He has a 3.41 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 115:28 K:BB through 111 innings and lines up for one more start before the All-Star break, on the road against the Rangers.
