Impact He'll assume the 28-man roster spot of reliever Luke Jackson (personal), who was placed on the paternity list. Martin spent just over two weeks on the injured list with an inflamed right elbow, but he proved healthy during his rehab appearance Tuesday at Triple-A Gwinnett, tossing a perfect inning. Look for him to quickly slot back into a setup role in front of closer Will Smith.

Impact Martin has been less effective than usual recently, as he's allowed four runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out four in 3.1 innings across his last four appearances. He's apparently been dealing with an elbow injury that will force him to miss additional time. It's not yet clear whether he'll be sidelined longer than the minimum of 10 days, but left-hander Sean Newcomb was recalled to take his place in the bullpen.

Tagged with one-out loss Martin (2-4) was tagged with the loss Wednesday against the Dodgers after allowing one run on two hits and a walk across one-third of an inning. He also struck out one.

Impact Martin entered the game in the bottom of the eighth with two outs and Trea Turner on third, but he couldn't prevent him from scoring following an RBI single from Justin Turner. As if that wasn't enough, he walked Corey Seager and allowed an RBI single to AJ Pollock, giving the Dodgers a lead they wouldn't relinquish. Martin has now allowed runs in three of his last four appearances.

He gave up an RBI double to Ryan Zimmerman but worked out of trouble to convert his first save of the year. Martin has a 3.90 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 21:4 K:BB across 30 innings this season. Richard Rodriguez worked 1.1 scoreless innings for a hold, but it's unclear if the workflow Sunday is indicative of the current bullpen hierarchy in Atlanta or just a product of the matchups.
