Austin Allen - Designated for assignmentAllen was designated for assignment by the Athletics on Monday.
ImpactAllen spent time on the COVID-19 injured list in mid-April, but he saw sporadic playing time when healthy. Over five games, the 28-year-old went just 1-for-14 with a run, a walk and nine strikeouts. He'll now lose his spot on the 40-man roster, and Christian Bethancourt is in line to serve as the No. 2 catcher while Stephen Vogt (knee) is on the IL.

Jacob Lemoine - Sent down MondayLemoine was optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas on Monday.
ImpactThe Athletics were forced to trim their active roster to 26 players by Monday, and Lemoine will be sent down after giving up six runs (five earned) in four innings over his last two relief appearances. Jacob Lemoine - Heavy workload SundayLemoine allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits, a walk and a wild pitch over 3.1 innings in a loss to the Guardians on Sunday. He struck out two.
ImpactThe right-hander was called upon to eat up some innings after starter James Kaprielian made it through just two frames. Lemoine yielded multiple earned runs for the second straight outing, a pair of hiccups that have come following three consecutive scoreless appearances. The 28-year-old, who's in the midst of his first big-league stint, is now carrying a 5.56 ERA and 1.41 WHIP across his first 11.1 innings.

Lou Trivino - Hit hard in first rehab appearanceTrivino (illness) drew the start in Low-A Stockton's defeat at the hands of Fresno on Sunday, allowing five earned runs on five hits over one inning while recording two strikeouts.
ImpactTrivino's first time back on the mound since April 16 with the big-league club could hardly have gone any worse, as the right-hander struggled to get outs despite the low level of competition. Trivino threw 20 pitches overall -- arguably a bit low considering how much contact he surrendered -- and he may log at least one more rehab appearance given how poorly Sunday's went.
