Mark Canha - Goes 1-for-4 in returnCanha (hip) went 1-for-4 with a strikeout in Saturday's 3-2 loss to Cleveland.
ImpactCanha missed just over three weeks while battling tendinitis and a left hip strain. The outfielder hit in his usual leadoff spot Saturday, although it may take him some time to get comfortable at the plate after not going on a rehab assignment. The 32-year-old has a .255/.376/.447 slash line with 11 home runs, 33 RBI, 55 runs scored and seven stolen bases through 329 plate appearances this year.

Seth Brown - Swipes bag in lossBrown went 2-for-4 with a stolen base in Saturday's 3-2 loss to Cleveland.
ImpactThe outfielder isn't known to be much of a speed threat, as this was just his second stolen base of the year and the third of his career. Brown has mainly played in a bench role, slashing only .197/.273/.416 with 10 home runs, 28 RBI and 23 runs scored through 198 plate appearances. The return of Mark Canha (hip) from the injured list is likely to reduce Brown's playing time further.

Frankie Montas - Stuck with loss SaturdayMontas (8-8) allowed two runs on six hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in six innings, taking the loss Saturday versus Cleveland.
ImpactMontas had little trouble until Cleveland scraped two runs together in the fifth inning. Oakland never pulled even, leaving Montas with his first loss since June 21. The 28-year-old has a 4.33 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 112:29 K:BB through 106 innings this year. The right-hander will try to get back in the win column during next weekend's series in Seattle.

Franmil Reyes - Slugs 15th homerReyes went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 3-2 win over Oakland.
ImpactThe designated hitter came up empty in his first three at-bats before swatting an offering from J.B. Wendelken to center field. Reyes has homered four times in nine games since he came off the injured list July 2. For the season, he's slashing .271/.325/.597 with 15 homers, 40 RBI, 27 runs scored and a pair of stolen bases through 197 plate appearances.

James Karinchak - Sloppy work for 10th saveKarinchak allowed a run on two hits and a walk in one inning, earning the save in Saturday's 3-2 win over Oakland.
ImpactKarinchak put the first two batters aboard and allowed a run on a sacrifice fly, but he was able to get out of trouble in the end. The right-hander presumably got the save chance due to Emmanuel Clase's recent struggles, although Clase pitched a clean inning for a hold in Saturday's contest. With both of Cleveland's top ninth-inning options a little shaky lately, manager Terry Francona will have to pick and choose based on matchups. Karinchak still has a solid 2.61 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 68:23 K:BB across 41.1 innings this year, to go with 10 saves, nine holds and two blown saves.
JULY 18, 2021ROTOWIRE
Cal Quantrill - Effective in winQuantrill (2-2) allowed a run on four hits and two walks with five strikeouts in five innings, earning the win Saturday over Oakland.
ImpactWhile it wasn't exactly a gem, Quantrill did enough to put Cleveland in position to win. The right-hander has won consecutive starts, but he's still allowed 17 runs in 24 innings across his last five outings. For the year, Quantrill has a 4.05 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 48:22 K:BB across 66.2 innings. He projects to make his next start versus Tampa Bay next week.
