Impact Bellinger has had a disastrous spring, going 3-for-22 with 15 strikeouts. Though Dodgers manager Dave Roberts indicated this weekend that Bellinger's role isn't in any danger in spite of his spring struggles, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports that Roberts acknowledged the impact of the constant mechanical adjustments on his play thus far. "I think for me to sum it up I just want him to get back to being a good hitter. I think it's hard to debate if that's your goal and not worrying about slug and mechanics," Roberts stated. Though spring training stats are typically taken with a grain of salt, there may be some cause for concern considering Bellinger's apparent lack of satisfaction with his approach and subsequent pileup of strikeouts. It's certainly relevant to note that the 2019 NL MVP set career-worst marks last season with a .542 OPS and 26.9 percent strikeout rate.
