Throws off mound Vodnik (biceps) threw a 15-pitch bullpen session Saturday, Patrick Lyons of JustBaseball.com reports.

Impact Vodnik was only able to throw at about 80 percent intensity, though it's still a step in the right direction, as it marks the first time he's thrown off a mound since landing on the injured list Aug. 21. The 24-year-old righty will be eligible for activation Tuesday, but the Rockies will likely look to have him face live hitters before clearing him to return.

Quality start in Friday's loss Gomber (4-10) took the loss Friday, giving up three runs on eight hits and a walk over six innings as the Rockies fell 5-3 to the Orioles. He struck out four.

Impact The southpaw delivered his 10th quality start of the season on 90 pitches (59 strikes), but a two-run homer by Emmanuel Rivera in the fourth inning put the visitors in the lead for good. Gomber has given Colorado at least six innings in five of six trips to the mound in August, posting a 4.37 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 24:9 K:BB in 35 innings over that stretch. He'll look for a better result in his next outing, which lines up to come on the road next week in Atlanta.

Impact Hill is expected to be activated from the injured list imminently and will appear in a game with Triple-A Albuquerque. Assuming that goes well from a health perspective, he is expected to be promoted to Colorado for his big-league debut once rosters expand Sunday.

Set for MLB debut The Rockies selected Halvorsen's contract from Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday.

Impact Halvorsen was a seventh-round draft pick by the Rockies in 2023 and logged a 3.00 ERA in nine innings at Triple-A this season. The 24-year-old takes Noah Davis' spot on the 26-man roster and will serve out of the bullpen for Colorado.

Impact It was a tough day for Blalock, who allowed a pair of runs in his first three innings before giving up a five-spot in the fourth. The 23-year-old right-hander had gotten off to a nice start before Thursday, pitching to a 3.06 ERA across his first 17.2 big-league innings.
