Goes unclaimed off waivers The Rockies outrighted Blach to Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday after he cleared waivers.

Impact Blach had the option of electing free agency, but he'll instead stick around in the Colorado organization, with whom he's spent the past two-plus seasons. Before being cast off the Rockies' 40-man roster July 27, Blach made 18 appearances (10 starts) for the big club, posting a 6.36 ERA and 1.70 WHIP across 63.2 innings.

Impact Shreve is now with his third organization of the season after he previously signed minor-league deals with the Rangers and Yankees before opting out of those contracts. He posted a 1.64 ERA and 0.77 WHIP across 22 innings at Triple-A Round Rock and a 2.45 ERA and 0.82 WHIP in 11 innings at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre before enduring his worst outing of the season in his debut for the Rockies' Triple-A affiliate. All three of the runs he allowed came on solo home runs.

Another short outing Sunday Quantrill (7-8) took the loss Sunday against the Padres, allowing three runs on five hits and three walks while striking out two over 4.1 innings.

Impact The Padres worked a run off of Quantrill in the second after they led off the inning with a single and a double that scored Xander Bogaerts from first. Quantrill would later surrender two more runs in the fifth, both off of solo homers from Kyle Higashioka and Jurickson Profar. Quantrill has now failed to go at least five innings in consecutive starts in in three of his last five. He only has one win since June 11 and has been exhibiting some control issues of late, walking multiple batters in five of his last six outings. Quantrill now owns a 4.56 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 92:48 K:BB in 122.1 innings and lines up to face Atlanta in his next start over the weekend.

Goes deep in series finale Doyle went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Padres.

Impact Doyle was able to knot the game at one in the fourth inning with a solo home run off Matt Waldron on the first pitch he saw. It was his first long ball and first RBI of the month after he was awarded the player of the month for the National League in July. Doyle just needs one more home run to become the fifth player this season with at least 20 homers and 20 steals. He's currently slashing .266/.327/.471 with 19 homers, 55 RBI, 62 runs, 21 steals and a 35:115 BB:K in 441 plate appearances.

Goes deep again Sunday Stallings went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Padres.

Impact Stallings sent one out to left in the seventh for his second homer in as many games. The 34-year-old has three homers, eight RBI, six runs and a 4:4 BB:K over his last eight games. Stallings has a real chance to reach double-digit homers for the first time in his career. He's now slashing .270/.369/.471 with seven homers, 27 RBI, 23 runs and a 22:42 BB:K in 204 plate appearances.

Slugs pinch hit homer Stallings hit a solo home run as a pinch hitter in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Padres.

Impact Stallings' eighth-inning blast brought the Rockies within a run, but they failed to tie the game. The backup catcher went 8-for-19 over a five-game span from July 20-26, but he followed it up with an 0-for-8 skid before Saturday's homer. For the year, he's at a .265/.367/.453 slash line with six homers, 26 RBI, 22 runs scored, 12 doubles and no stolen bases over 60 contests. Despite those decent numbers, he remains behind Elias Diaz on the depth chart at catcher.

Homers in Saturday's loss Goodman went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Padres.

Impact Goodman has gone just 6-for-37 (.162) over 15 games since the start of July. He briefly earned a larger role in late June, but he's since slipped into a short-side platoon role as a depth outfielder. He hasn't done much to receive more playing time, posting a .183/.219/.401 slash line with eight homers, 23 RBI, 14 runs scored and one stolen base over 151 plate appearances this year.

Sharp in Saturday's start Gordon allowed one run on one hit and one walk while striking out four over six innings in a no-decision versus the Padres on Saturday.

Impact Gordon was perfect through four innings, but he put the first two batters aboard in the fifth, and a David Peralta groundout knocked in the tying run. Peter Lambert then allowed two runs in the seventh to spoil the Rockies' chance at a team win. This was Gordon's best of four starts this season -- he had allowed at least four runs in each of the other three. He's now at a 6.75 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 16:3 K:BB through 21.1 innings. This was likely enough to earn him another turn through the rotation -- tentatively projected to be at home versus Atlanta -- though that could change if German Marquez (elbow) doesn't require a rehab assignment.
