Ian Kennedy - Handed fifth lossKennedy (4-5) took the loss during Saturday's 3-2 defeat at the hands of the Rockies, allowing one run on one hit with one strikeout in one inning.
ImpactManager Torey Lovullo turned to the right-hander to pitch the ninth inning of a tie game and Kennedy surrendered a one-out Ryan McMahon solo home run to fall in line for the loss. The 37-year-old tossed eight pitches during Friday's save but was still able to fire 13 of 18 pitches for strikes Saturday. Kennedy had fired 5.2 scoreless innings prior to Saturday's hiccup and still features a solid 3.22 ERA across 36.1 innings this season. He's expected to feature as part of Arizona's closer committee after Mark Melancon was removed from the role.

Merrill Kelly - Continues solid stretchKelly registered a no-decision during Saturday's 3-2 loss to Colorado, allowing two runs on seven hits and one walk with five strikeouts in seven-plus innings.
ImpactKelly fired six scoreless frames before surrendering a run on two hits in the seventh. He also allowed a solo home run and a single in the eighth before being pulled. The 33-year-old fired an impressive 70 of 93 pitches for strikes with 11 whiffs and has now permitted two runs or fewer in seven straight starts while completing at least six innings in each outing. Kelly's 2.86 ERA ranks 13th in MLB while his 1.13 WHIP is 25th, and he lines up for an enticing outing against Pittsburgh next week.

Ryan McMahon - Homers, swipes bagMcMahon went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and a stolen base in a 3-2 win against the Diamondbacks on Saturday.
ImpactMcMahon walked and stole second in the fourth inning before launching the game-winning home run 421 feet to center in the ninth. The 27-year-old is in the midst of a scorching opening week of August, going 8-for-18 with two homers, two doubles and two stolen bases in six contests this month. The torrid stretch has upped McMahon's line to .242/.337/.392 with 10 long balls, 40 runs, 50 RBI and a career-high seven stolen bases.

ImpactBard's services were necessitated when Colorado took the lead in the top of the ninth and he delivered a clean inning to convert his 14th consecutive save opportunity. During the span, the 37-year-old has allowed four runs (three earned) across 27.1 innings. His 23 saves rank tied for sixth in the majors and he is the only member of the top-10 to play on a team with a losing record.

Antonio Senzatela - Goes seven innings in no-decisionSenzatela registered a no-decision during Saturday's 3-2 win against Arizona, allowing two runs on nine hits with two strikeouts in seven innings.
ImpactSenzatela's outing was bookended with runs -- he surrendered a Christian Walker RBI single in the first inning and a Daulton Varsho solo shot in the seventh -- but kept Arizona off the board in the middle innings thanks in part to a pair of double plays. The 27-year-old has now permitted three runs or fewer in four starts since returning from a stint on the injured list due to a shoulder injury, during which he's registered a 4.01 ERA in 24.2 innings.
