José Ureña - Turns in quality startUrena allowed three runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out two across six innings in a no-decision versus the Diamondbacks on Sunday.
ImpactUrena completed six frames for the first time in four starts. All three runs against him came via the home run -- he gave up a two-run blast to Christian Walker in the first inning and a solo shot to Emmanuel Rivera in the sixth. Urena has given up four homers in 37 innings across seven outings with the Rockies, with three of those homers coming in road games. He's pitched to a 4.63 ERA, 1.61 WHIP and 22:24 K:BB across 44.2 innings between the Rockies and the Brewers this year. The right-hander is lined up for another start versus the Diamondbacks next weekend, with that outing in Colorado's Coors Field.

Emmanuel Rivera - First homer with new teamRivera went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, an additional run scored and a walk in Sunday's 6-4 win over the Rockies.
ImpactRivera put Arizona on the comeback trail with his sixth-inning solo shot. It was his first homer and second hit in three games since he was traded from the Royals last Monday. The righty-hitting third baseman has started twice in the team's last five contests, though the Diamondbacks have yet to face a southpaw since he joined them. Rivera owns a .238/.290/.413 slash line with seven homers, 23 RBI, 28 runs scored, nine doubles and three triples through 221 plate appearances this year. The versatility of regular third baseman Josh Rojas could afford Rivera slightly more than just a short-side platoon role.

Christian Walker - Opens scoring SundayWalker went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 6-4 win over the Rockies.
ImpactWalker has homered thrice in six games in August, adding nine RBI and a double in that span. The first baseman's long ball Sunday opened the scoring in the first inning. He's up to 26 homers, 61 RBI and 48 runs scored on the year, but his slash line remains a little shaky at .203/.302/.451 through 434 plate appearances.

Mark Melancon - Shaky in saveMelancon allowed a hit and two walks while striking out one in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Sunday's 6-4 win over the Rockies.
ImpactMelancon was removed from the full-time closer gig after a blown save versus the Guardians last Monday. With Ian Kennedy unavailable after pitching the two previous days and Joe Mantiply having pitching earlier in the game, manager Torey Lovullo asked Melancon to close. He loaded the bases with two outs but got a fielder's choice to end the contest without surrendering a run for the first time in his last three appearances. Neither his recent work nor his season-long numbers -- a 4.54 ERA, 1.62 WHIP and 27:15 K:BB -- should inspire much confidence in the 37-year-old's ability to lock things down. This was his 15th save in 18 chances, but expect Ian Kennedy and Joe Mantiply to get their chances in the ninth inning over the last two months of the season. Kennedy picked up the first two saves since the move to a committee approach, while Mantiply was deployed in the sixth inning Sunday.

Zach Davies - Solid in no-decisionDavies allowed four hits and two walks while striking out three over five scoreless innings in a no-decision versus the Rockies on Sunday.
ImpactDavies put in a solid performance in his second start back from a shoulder injury. He threw 49 of 80 pitches for strikes, but the Rockies weren't able to capitalize on his so-so command. It was a significant improvement after he allowed four runs in two innings in his previous start. The right-hander trimmed his ERA to 4.03 with a 1.22 WHIP and 66:30 K:BB through 87 innings across 17 starts this year. Davies is projected for a road rematch with the Rockies next week.
