Colton Welker - Rehabbing at High-AWelker (suspension) began a rehab assignment July 26 at the Rockies' rookie-level Arizona Complex League affiliate and has since moved up to High-A Spokane.

ImpactWelker has played six rehab games in total between the two affiliates, going 3-for-22 with a pair of walks and two doubles. The 23-year-old opened the season on the Rockies' restricted list after he was handed an 80-game suspension May 6 following a positive test of a banned substance. Since Welker was assigned to Triple-A Albuquerque coming out of spring training, he'll first be eligible to rejoin the affiliate Aug. 8. In the meantime, expect Welker to continue his rehab assignment in the lower levels of the minors for the next week.

Mike Toglia - Rises to Double-AThe Rockies promoted Toglia from High-A Spokane to Double-A Hartford on Sunday, Dave Nichols of The Spokane Spokesman-Review reports.

ImpactDuring his time at Spokane, the switch-hitting first baseman slashed .234/.333/.465 with seven stolen bases and a High-A West-leading 17 home runs. The 6-foot-5, 226-pound Toglia has also drawn favorable reviews for his defensive work at first base in addition to his power production at the dish. He'll likely remain with Hartford for the rest of the season.

Sam Hilliard - Blasts fifth homer SundayHilliard went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 8-1 loss to the Padres.

ImpactHilliard slammed a solo home run off Reiss Knehr in the second inning. It was the only extra-base hit for the Rockies, and he was the only player to get two hits in the game for them. The positive offensive showing came after Hilliard went hitless in his previous four games. The 27-year-old is slashing .176/.247/.419 with five long balls, nine RBI and 12 runs in 81 plate appearances.

ImpactKim doubled in the first inning, driving in two runs. In addition, he homered off Antonio Santos in the sixth inning. Kim is receiving additional playing time now that Fernando Tatis (shoulder) is on the 10-day injured list. Kim has struggled in July, batting .229 with eight RBI and three runs scored. He hit his first home run Sunday since June 22. The 25-year-old is slashing just .214/.273/.364 with six long balls, 29 RBI, 20 runs and five steals in 229 plate appearances.

Jake Cronenworth - Doubles twice, drives in twoCronenworth went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's 8-1 win over the Rockies.

ImpactAfter homering Saturday, Cronenworth knocked in two runs right away on a double in the first inning. In addition, he added another double and a single in the game. The 27-year-old is batting .258 over the month of July with three homers, 14 RBI and 18 runs. On the season, he is slashing .279/.351/.477, trailing only Fernando Tatis (79) on the team with 73 runs scored.

Austin Gomber - Pulled after one inning in lossGomber (8-6) allowed four earned runs on four hits and two walks while striking out three across one inning, taking the loss to the Padres on Sunday.

ImpactGomber was pulled after a disastrous 40-pitch first inning Sunday, which marked his shortest start of the season. All three outs were punchouts, but he allowed six batters to reach safely, accounting for four runs. It was a very different start from the last time he faced San Diego, when he shut them out over eight innings. The 27-year-old has a 4.04 ERA and a 1.11 WHIP over 91.1 innings this season.
