ImpactWynns was acquired from the Phillies on Wednesday and made his first big-league appearance of the season Thursday, singling in each of his plate appearances. The 31-year-old has a career .221/.259/.330 line with nine homers in 116 major-league games over four seasons. He will likely serve as the Giants' backup to Curt Casali while Joey Bart attempts to figure it out at Triple-A Sacramento.

Alex Colomé - Earns third saveColome picked up the save, allowing a hit in the ninth inning of a 4-2 win Thursday in San Francisco.
ImpactAfter giving up a one-out single, Colome got Joc Pederson to ground into a game-ending double play. With Daniel Bard having pitched in consecutive games, Colome was given the opportunity to collect his third save. The 33-year-old has been excellent of late and has allowed only one (unearned) run in his last 11 innings.

ImpactThe first five Rockies batters reached base to begin the fourth inning against Webb. Two reached on errors and the Giants committed a third error in the field allowing runners to advance. All three runs against Webb came around to score as a result. The 25-year-old has been competitive but unspectacular through 12 starts this season, amassing a 3.77 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 59:17 K:BB. His next start will likely be early next week against Kansas City.

Austin Gomber - Strong start in winGomber (3-6) earned the victory Thursday in San Francisco, striking out five in six innings while allowing two runs on five hits, a hit batsman and a walk.
ImpactBoth runs against Gomber in the second inning as he allowed four batters to reach safely. He settled down and would end up retiring the final eight batters he faced. The lefty needed a good outing following two straight disastrous starts. It has been feast or famine for the 28-year-old this season with six quality starts and five disappointing outings. His next start will likely be in the middle of next week against Cleveland.
