Alex Lange - Blows save Sunday Lange allowed two runs on a hit and a walk over an inning of work to blow the save in Sunday's extra-inning loss to the Blue Jays. He struck out two.
Impact Lange's up-and-down season continued, as he blew his third save opportunity in 16 chances. The righty was lights out through the end of May with a 1.16 ERA but he has a 9.45 ERA since then, pushing his season mark to 4.17. Lange figures to stick as Detroit's closer due to the team's lack of other options, but he's been a shaky fantasy contributor recently.

Tarik Skubal - Continues to pitch well Sunday Skubal tossed four scoreless innings and did not factor into the decision Sunday against the Blue Jays. He allowed two hits and two walks while striking out five.
Impact Skubal has now made two appearances this season after missing the first three months while rehabbing from flexor tendon surgery, and he's logged four scoreless innings each time. The Tigers are being understandably cautious with his workload, as he tossed 57 pitches in his debut and just 63 on Sunday. With the All-Star break on tap, Skubal will have more time to rest and could be poised to work deeper into the contest his next time out. He's penciled in to start Detroit's second game after the break on Saturday.

Impact Greene has hit the ground running since returning from the injured list Saturday, going 4-for-9 with two walks and the home run. He's now batting a robust .305 this season, and if he stays healthy and the power picks up in the second half, the 22-year-old could be in line for a huge fantasy performance.

Impact Wingenter has been on the shelf with shoulder tendinitis since April 22, but he's now back from the injured list after a 10-outing rehab assignment. The 29-year-old allowed eight earned runs over 8.2 innings for Toledo during that stretch.

Tyler Alexander - No surgery needed Alexander won't require surgery for the partial tear in his left lat and is expected to be ready for the start of spring training in 2024, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.
Impact The 28-year-old will still miss the rest of the season while recovering from the injury, but the fact he won't require surgery is an encouraging development. According to Chris McCosky of The Detroit News, Alexander's rest-and-rehab program will start out with being shut down from throwing for the next three months, but he should still have plenty of time to build his arm back up during the offseason.

Impact After missing a little more than a month due to a stress fracture in his left fibula, Greene returned without missing a beat. The strong effort pushed his average above .300 as he continues to enjoy a breakout campaign in his second MLB season. Greene is starting again Sunday, and after serving as the DH in his Saturday return, the youngster will shift back to center field. Assuming he stays healthy, he should find himself in center most days moving forward.

Impact Baddoo returned from the injured list Friday after missing about a month, then rested Saturday.
