Trevor Rosenthal - Will be ramped up slowly Rosenthal will be ramped up slowly by the Tigers and is not going to be ready for Opening Day, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.
Impact Rosenthal is currently healthy, but with the multitude of injuries he's dealt with the last few years the Tigers are going to ease him into things after inking him to a minor-league deal over the weekend. The reliever hasn't appeared in the majors since 2020 due to thoracic outlet and hip surgeries as well as hamstring and lat injuries. The 32-year-old could theoretically work his way into late-inning situations with the Tigers eventually, but he's a poor bet to stay healthy at this point.

Riley Greene - Goes deep, steals base Monday Greene went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Monday's Grapefruit League game against the Red Sox. He also stole a base.
Impact Greene showed off all facets of his offensive game in this one, and he now has a 1.188 OPS, two home runs and the one stolen base through six spring games. The 22-year-old broke his foot toward the end of camp last year, which pushed back his MLB debut to June. Greene should be primed for a big second season if he's healthy on Opening Day and can hit the ground running.

Chasen Shreve - Off to good start Shreve has posted a 2.70 ERA and and five strikeouts across 3.1 Grapefruit League innings so far.
Impact It's a small sample size, but Shreve is making a good first impression as he competes for a bullpen spot with the Tigers. The lefty agreed to a minor-league contract with Detroit in January following a disappointing season with the Mets in which he recorded a 6.49 ERA over 26.1 innings. However, he looked much better for Pittsburgh in 2021, posting a 3.20 ERA across 56.1 innings of relief. If Shreve can get back to that level, he should be able to stick in the majors this year.

Matt Manning - Struggles Monday Manning allowed four runs on four hits across just 1.1 innings in Monday's Grapefruit League game against the Red Sox. He walked one and struck out two.
Impact Manning has now made two appearances this spring, allowing five runs on seven hits across 3.1 total innings. It's not a great start, but the righty's goal is likely to just get to the regular season feeling fully healthy, as he's dealt with a number of injuries the past few years. Manning showed flashes in 2022, posting a 3.43 ERA and 1.17 WHIP across 63 innings. However, he only had 48 strikeouts, and he'll need to miss more bats to really take off from a fantasy perspective.

Impact The Tigers revealed Thursday that Cisnero was dealing with a non-COVID-19-related illness, but he was out of commission only for a couple of days before he was cleared for game action. The 32-year-old is likely headed for a setup or high-leverage relief role in front of Alex Lange, the presumptive favorite to take over as the Tigers' closer following the offseason trade of Gregory Soto to Philadelphia.

Impact Faedo underwent hip surgery in July, which ended his rookie season. He entered camp healthy and has now had one good performance followed by this rough one. Impact Rogers has now slugged three home runs in only five spring training games. The catcher has 10 career regular season long balls in 73 games at the MLB level, so he has shown decent power potential in his limited time in the majors. Rogers has the inside track on the backup role behind Eric Haase, but if the former manages to earn more playing time, he could have some fantasy appeal as a source of home runs from the catcher position.

Nick Maton - Off to slow spring start Maton went 0-for-3 with a strikeout in Saturday's Grapefruit League game against the Blue Jays and is now batting just .182 this spring.
Impact It's a small sample size of just 11 at-bats, so Maton has time to get going before the regular season begins. The 26-year-old came to the Tigers as part of the Gregory Soto trade in the offseason and is competing for regular playing time, possibly at third base. Tyler Nevin is also in the mix at the hot corner, and the two could alternate starts, at least until one of them emerges as a preferred option. Maton also has the versatility to play at shortstop and second base as well as in the outfield, so he could be a utility player for the Tigers as well.
