Parker Meadows - Rehab games coming soonMeadows (hamstring) is expected to begin a rehab assignment soon, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ImpactMeadows was cleared to run the bases Wednesday and didn't have any issues, so he will continue his progression with more running Saturday. ImpactIt will be his first time trying things from the bump since he went down with a left hamstring strain in late June. Mize will need a little time to be built back up since he's already been sidelined a month, so he's likely several weeks away from a return.

Riley Greene - Hits injured listGreene was placed on the 10-day injured list Friday with a right hamstring strain.
ImpactGreene uncharacteristically was held out of the lineup Tuesday against a right-handed pitcher and didn't pop up in the Tigers' starting nine Friday. It's now known that he's dealing with a strained hamstring that will require an IL stint. Per Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic the strain is considered small, which could indicate that Greene won't miss much more time than the minimum 10 days. In the meantime, Mark Canha, Bligh Madris and Ryan Vilade could see more action in the outfield.

Riley Greene - Absent from starting nine FridayGreene is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Twins.
ImpactGreene isn't part of the starting lineup for the third time in seven games despite right-hander Pablo Lopez being on the mound for Minnesota. As an everyday player for Detroit, Greene's string of absences is unusual and it doesn't appear he's dealing with an injury. Mark Canha, Matt Vierling and Wenceel Perez will fill the outfield from left to right Friday.

Ryan Vilade - Recalled from Triple-AThe Tigers recalled Vilade from Triple-A Toledo on Friday, Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic reports.
ImpactVilade could get some starts in the outfield against lefties with Riley Greene (hamstring) joining Parker Meadows (hamstring) on the injured list. He's 8-for-27 with a homer during his brief time in the majors this season.
