Randy Dobnak, Devin Smeltzer won't be back with Twins any time soon Randy Dobnak and Devin Smeltzer were moved to the 60-day injured list to free up two spots on the 40-man roster.
Transferred to 60-day IL The Twins transferred Smeltzer (elbow) to the 60-day injured list Friday.
Impact The move is simply procedural, as the Twins needed a roster spot to add Saturday's starter Charlie Barnes to the 40-man roster. Smeltzer, who began a rehab assignment June 28, is still expected back from left elbow inflammation around the end of July.

Impact Smeltzer has been on the injured list since May 12 with left elbow inflammation. Due to his long-term absence, Smeltzer will likely be in store for an extended rehab assignment across multiple minor-league affiliates before the Twins activated him from the IL.
