Impact Rosario has now parted ways with three teams in the National League East this season alone, as he was previously cut loose by Washington and Atlanta. Unlike those previous two stops, Rosario never received a look at the big-league level with the Mets, as he was assigned to Triple-A Syracuse upon signing with the organization on a minor-league deal earlier this month. He saw action in seven games for Syracuse, slashing .103/.133/.310 with eight strikeouts in 30 plate appearances.

Gets minors deal from Mets Rosario signed a minor-league contract with the Mets on Tuesday, Pat Ragazzo of SI.com reports.

Impact Rosario elected free agency Sunday after being DFA'd by Atlanta, and he didn't have to wait long for another opportunity. The 32-year-old has taken a major step back at the plate this season, slashing just .175/.215/.316 across 319 plate appearances between Atlanta and Washington, though he could claim a bench spot in New York if he's able to turn things around with Triple-A Syracuse.

Impact Rosario was dropped from the 40-man roster Thursday after slashing just .154/.181/.282 in 24 plate appearances with Atlanta. No other team was willing to take a chance on the 32-year-old outfielder, so he'll remain stashed away in Atlanta's farm system as organizational depth.

Impact Rosario's reunion with Atlanta made sense on paper, but the results simply weren't there, with the veteran outfielder slashing just .154/.181/.282 with a 23:3 K:BB over 24 contests. The 32-year-old will pass through waivers and eventually be released, at which point he will seek a job in a new organization. For now, Adam Duvall will see more action in left field with Rosario out of the mix. However, Michael Harris (hamstring) is due back soon, at which point Jarred Kelenic will return to left field.

Getting rare day off versus righty Rosario is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers.

Impact Atlanta is facing a right-handed starter (Freddy Peralta) for the ninth game in a row Wednesday, but the lefty-hitting Rosario will give way to the right-handed-hitting Adam Duvall for the first time during that stretch. Manager Brian Snitker might have just wanted to get Duvall some work to keep him sharp at the plate, but Rosario hasn't done much to justify maintaining a strong-side platoon role. Since joining Atlanta on July 8, Rosario is slashing .154/.181/.282 with a 27.4 percent strikeout rate.

Impact He got the start in left field, batting sixth against right-hander Freddy Peralta, but Rosario was replaced by Adam Duvall in the seventh inning with lefty Jared Koenig on the mound. Trade deadline acquisition Jorge Soler is expected to start in right field, but Duvall and Rosario seem headed for a platoon in left, with the latter on the strong side of that arrangement. Manager Brian Snitker likely won't hesitate to play the hot hand if one of the two significant out-produces the other, however. Rosario is batting just .189 (7-for-37) over his last 12 games, but he does have three home runs and eight RBI over that stretch.
