X-rays negative Hosmer underwent X-rays on his right forearm Friday that came back negative, Dennis Lin of The Athletic reports.

Impact Hosmer was removed from Friday's win over the Astros in the second inning after he was hit by a pitch in the first, but his negative X-rays are certainly encouraging. The first baseman will be re-evaluated Saturday and should be considered day-to-day.

Impact Hosmer was hit by a pitch on the arm in the first inning, and he was replaced defensively by Jorge Mateo in the second frame. The exact nature and severity of Hosmer's injury aren't yet clear.
