That performance will likely make it hard for him to find a major-league deal this offseason, though his 1.80 ERA in 35 innings over the previous two years could help him generate at least some interest.

Impact Yardley was a key bullpen piece for Milwaukee in 2020 with a 1.54 ERA in 24 appearances, but he struggled this season with a 6.75 ERA. The 31-year-old spent most of 2021 at Triple-A and won't be on the Brewers' 40-man roster during the offseason.

The righty figures to pitch in low-leverage situations, at least initially, in his latest stint with the Brewers. Tyrone Taylor (oblique) was placed on the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move Saturday.
