Slated to forego surgery Tatis is expected to forego shoulder surgery during the offseason, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports. Impact Tatis made three trips to the injured list during the 2021 campaign due to left shoulder injuries, but he was able to play for most of the season without requiring a procedure. While several people within the organization believed that the 22-year-old would require offseason surgery, he's expected to participate in strengthening exercises ahead of the 2022 campaign to prevent further injuries. Assuming Tatis remains healthy in the coming months, opting against surgery should allow him to have a more normal offseason.
