Expected back Tuesday The Mets are hopeful that Lindor (oblique) will be ready to return from the 10-day injured list for Tuesday's game against the Giants, Justin Toscano of The Bergen Record reports. Impact The Mets entertained the idea of bringing Lindor back from the IL for Sunday's series finale with the Dodgers, but Rojas said at the recommendation of the team performance staff, the four-time All-Star was given some additional time to recover from the right oblique strain that has sidelined him since July 17. Assuming Lindor makes it through a pregame workout Tuesday no worse for the wear, he should draw back into the New York lineup for the series opener with San Francisco. When Lindor is activated, he'll slot in as the Mets' everyday shortstop, while Javier Baez shifts over to the keystone and Jeff McNeil moves over to third base.
