Ready to play Manager Aaron Boone confirmed Monday that Urshela (thigh) is expected to play in Tuesday's AL WIld Card Game against Boston, Lindsey Adler of The Athletic reports.
Impact Urshela exited Sunday's season finale with a bruised thigh after crashing into the Rays' dugout while making a defensive play. He said after the game that he expected to be ready to go Tuesday, and that now appears to be all but confirmed. Boone said Urshela was still sore but is in a good enough place that he'd probably be in the lineup even if the game occurred Monday rather than Tuesday.
