Undergoes procedure Dayton underwent a procedure in September to clean up the AC joint in his left shoulder, Jon Morosi of MLB Network reports.

Impact Dayton was let go by Atlanta on Saturday after missing most of the 2021 campaign with shoulder inflammation. However, the left-hander is expected to have a relatively normal offseason and should resume throwing in the coming weeks.

Cut loose by Atlanta Dayton was released by Atlanta on Saturday.

Impact Dayton missed most of the year with shoulder inflammation, though he did make a single rehab appearance in September, which could bode well for his readiness for spring training. He struggled to a 6.23 ERA in 13 innings prior to the injury, and he's heading into his age-33 season, but he still owns a 3.43 career ERA, which could keep him somewhat interesting on the open market.
