Impact Danner missed two months while recovering from an undisclosed injury, but he finished up a rehab assignment with Single-A Dunedin on Aug. 10 and has pitched well in two relief appearances for Triple-A Buffalo. The right-hander has allowed one unearned run on one hit while walking two and striking out three over two innings of work.

Impact Danner reached the big leagues for the first time last August, but the right-hander suffered a left oblique strain in his Blue Jays debut and was subsequently shut down for the season. He was fully healthy upon reporting to spring training, but the Blue Jays likely want to see the 25-year-old stack together some quality innings at the Triple-A level before making him a more permanent fixture in the big-league bullpen.

Moved to 60-day IL Toronto transferred Danner (oblique) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day injured list Friday, Kaitlyn McGrath of The Athletic reports.

Impact Danner suffered a left oblique strain in mid-August and it will wind up being a season-ending injury for the 24-year-old right-hander. He pitched well this summer in the upper minors and should be in the conversation for an Opening Day bullpen job leading into 2024.

Impact Danner made his big-league debut in relief against the Cubs on Friday but retired just one batter before exiting with discomfort in his left side. His diagnosis has since been upgraded to a straight, so he'll sit for at least the next two weeks. Nate Pearson will take his place on the roster.

Impact Danner lasted just one batter into his major-league debut before getting hurt. He'll be re-evaluated Saturday before more is known about his status, but a stint on the injured list certainly would appear to be on the table.

Impact Danner was making his major-league debut and wound up facing and retiring just one batter before grabbing at his back/side area and eventually walking off the field. Impact Danner was added to the Blue Jays' 40-man roster a couple offseasons ago but this will be his first stint in the big leagues. He earned the opportunity after beginning the season at Low-A Dunedin, ultimately climbing up to Triple-A Buffalo and collecting a 3.66 ERA and 56:11 K:BB over 39.1 innings across three levels.

Impact Danner made his Double-A debut earlier in May and has recorded a 3.00 ERA and 1.22 WHIP with 16 strikeouts over nine innings. The 24-year-old reliever will likely remain in Triple-A for the rest of the year, but he could see time in the majors if he continues to mow through batters.
