Tyler Wells - Won't return this seasonWells (shoulder) won't pitch again in 2022, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

ImpactWells landed on the 15-day injured list with right shoulder inflammation Friday, but the move was backdated to Sept. 20. The right-hander would have been eligible to pitch during the Orioles' final regular-season game, but he'll be shut down for the remainder of the year. Mike Baumann will take Wells' place in the starting rotation Saturday against Houston while Spenser Watkins pitches out of the bullpen.

Mike Baumann - Set to start SaturdayBaumann will start Saturday's game against the Astros, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

ImpactThe 27-year-old rejoined the Orioles on Sept. 11 and has made two appearances out of the bullpen, but he'll start Saturday with Tyler Wells (shoulder) on the injured list. Baumann covered two frames in each of those outings and is unlikely to have a full starting workload.
