José Ramírez - Notches 41st stealRamirez went 0-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Astros.
ImpactRamirez was held hitless for just the fifth time in his 24 games in September. He's batting .295 (28-for-95) this month while adding seven steals on 10 attempts. Ramirez has a career-high 41 steals this season, but his pursuit of a 40-40 campaign is running out of time -- he's at 38 homers with two games left on the schedule. The third baseman has added a .277/.334/.530 slash line, 115 RBI, 113 runs scored, 38 doubles and two triples over 157 games, matching his career high in games played for the third time, having previously reached the mark in 2018 and 2022.

Jose Altuve - Cracks pair of doubles in winAltuve went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two runs scored in Friday's 5-2 victory over the Guardians.
ImpactThe Houston second baseman knocked two doubles of starter Joey Cantillo for his 30th and 31st two-baggers of the season. This performance hopefully snaps Altuve out of a cold spell, as he entered the contest hitting just .154 (6-for-39) over his last nine games. Overall, the nine-time All-Star is slashing .295/.350/.439 with 20 homers, 94 runs scored, 65 runs scored and 22 steals in 682 plate appearances across 153 games this season.

Ronel Blanco - Rolls to 13th winBlanco (13-6) picked up the win Friday at Cleveland, pitching five scoreless innings while allowing one hit and two walks. He struck out three.
ImpactThe Houston right-hander had pitched to a 0.95 ERA over 19 September frames entering this this game and wrapped with his third scoreless start of the month. Blanco yielded just a single hit -- a Will Brennan single in the fifth inning -- as he stymied the Guardians over his 86 total pitches. The 31-year-old caps a brilliant breakout season in which he was a fantasy star, producing a 2.80 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 166:68 K:BB across 167.1 innings, including a no-hitter April 1.

Joey Cantillo - Hit hard in lossCantillo (2-4) took the loss Friday against Houston, pitching 3.2 innings while allowing three runs on six hits and two walks. He struck out seven.
ImpactThe Cleveland southpaw entered this contest on a hot streak, firing a 1.10 ERA across 16.1 innings in September, but met his match in this 93-pitch outing. Cantillo got a taste of what the playoffs could look like as the Astros laced three doubles off him out of their six total base knocks. The 24-year-old did manage to salvage the start slightly, notching six or more punchouts for the fourth consecutive time. Cantillo wraps his rookie campaign with a 4.89 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 44:15 K:BB across 38.1 innings.
