Joey Gallo - Leaves with right side sorenessGallo exited Friday's game against the Astros with right side soreness, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
ImpactGallo was replaced by Nick Gordon in the bottom of the sixth. The outfielder should be considered day-to-day for now, but may need to undergo imaging to determine the severity of the injury.

Max Kepler - Could be available off benchTwins manager Rocco Baldelli said Kepler (knee) could be available to pinch-hit Friday against the Astros, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.
ImpactKepler hasn't appeared in a game since Monday due to patellar tendinitis in his right knee, but he has responded well to some running and is seemingly going to be able to avoid the injured list. Trevor Larnach, Michael Taylor and Joey Gallo are starting across the outfield Friday for Minnesota.

Josh Winder - Beginning rehab assignmentWinder (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment with Single-A Fort Myers on Friday, Brandon Warne of Access Twins reports.
ImpactWinder began spring training with soreness in his right shoulder, but was able to throw 2.2 innings toward the end of camp. It's unclear how many rehab outings the 26-year-old righty will play in the minors before rejoining the Twins, but his time on the 15-day IL seems to be nearing an end.

Alex Kirilloff - Start of rehab games unclearKirilloff (wrist) is continuing to play in extended spring training games but the Twins aren't ready to set a start date for his rehab assignment, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pio...
ImpactThe team continues to bring Kirilloff along slowly following surgery last August to shorten the ulnar bone in his right wrist and clean up scar tissue. He could still conceivably make it back before the end of the month, but we'll need to see him in official rehab games before long for that to happen.

Jorge Polanco - Set for second rehab gamePolanco (knee) is scheduled to play seven innings in his second rehab game Saturday with Low-A Fort Myers, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.
ImpactPolanco played five innings at second base in his rehab debut Thursday and went 1-for-3 with a single and two strikeouts. He could advance to another level after Saturday's game, but the Twins generally want to slow-play this rehab assignment because Polanco missed most of spring training with a lingering left knee injury. There's no exact timetable for his 2023 debut.
