Outrighted to Triple-A Arteaga cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Rochester on Tuesday, freelance baseball writer Byron Kerr reports.

Impact Arteaga made his first major-league appearance of the season Friday and went 0-for-3 with an RBI. He's hit .227 with a home run, nine RBI and seven runs across 20 games with Triple-A Rochester this year, and he'll remain in the organization going forward after he went unclaimed on waivers.

Designated for assignment Arteaga was designated for assignment by the Nationals on Saturday, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Impact Arteaga started in Friday's loss to the Dodgers with Trea Turner (finger) unavailable, and he went 0-for-3 with a run. However, he'll now be cast off the 40-man roster to make room for Alcides Escobar, who was acquired from the Royals on Friday and added to the active roster as part of a corresponding move.
