Wins starting job Bauers will be Cleveland's Opening Day first baseman, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.

Impact Bauers is a rather uninspiring option at the position, as he's a career .214/.314/.377 hitter at the big-league level and failed to earn a single at-bat last season. His .709 spring OPS hardly suggests he's suddenly a different player. Bobby Bradley had a much stronger .951 OPS in Cactus League action and could push Bauers for starts eventually, but he'll head to the minors to open the year.

Impact Bradley has clearly been the better player thus far in Cactus League play, hitting .308 with two home runs and two strikeouts while Bauers has hit .167 with zero home runs and a 4:5 K:BB. However, Bradley probably needs to keep his foot on the gas, as Bauers is out of minor-league options. Bauers could offer some modest appeal in really deep OBP leagues if he wins the job, but Bradley is the one with the power to profile at the position.
