Finishes regular season strong Odorizzi (6-6) got the win after he tossed five innings, giving up one run on two hits and a walk while striking out seven in Tuesday's victory against the Marlins.
Impact Odorizzi pitched three scoreless frames to open Tuesday's outing before surrendering a solo home run to Jesus Sanchez in the fourth inning. The long ball accounted for the only blemish on his line while his seven strikeouts were his highest total since Aug. 22. The right-hander will finish the regular season with a 4.40 ERA and 1.33 WHIP while striking out 86 batters over 106.1 innings in 22 starts.

Unable to finish four innings Odorizzi did not factor into the decision Wednesday, allowing two runs on four hits and three walks over 3.2 innings in a 3-2 loss against the Nationals.
Impact For the fourth start in a row, Odorizzi failed to complete five innings. Wednesday's struggles were highlighted by a 0:3 K:BB on the night as manager Brian Snitker opted to turn to the bullpen in the fourth inning with Atlanta fighting for the division title. In nine starts since being traded to Atlanta, Odorizzi owns a 5.69 ERA with one win compared to three losses. He is tentatively scheduled to face Miami next week.

Flops against Phillies Odorizzi (5-6) took the loss in Friday's 9-1 rout at the hands of the Phillies, surrendering eight runs on 10 hits and three walks over four innings. He struck out six.
Impact The Ks salvaged a little fantasy value for the right-hander, but this was still Odorizzi's worst performance since being shipped to Atlanta at the trade deadline. His 5.97 ERA, 1.62 WHIP and 33:14 K:BB through 37.2 innings for his new club are shaky at best, but with Spencer Strider (oblique) landing on the IL this week, Odorizzi's spot in the rotation for the rest of the season seems secure.

Impact While the surface stats look good, the Phillies were able to work some long at-bats against the right-hander. Odorizzi exited the game one out short of a win after throwing 61 of 93 pitches for strikes. He's now failed to complete six innings in six of his seven starts for Atlanta since coming over in a trade from Houston at the deadline. Through 93.2 innings this year, he has a 4.04 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 73:28 K:BB. Odorizzi is tentatively projected for a rematch on the road against the Phillies next week.
