Impact Reed returned from a forearm injury Tuesday and made a pair of appearances, allowing three runs on three hits while recording just two outs. He'll head to the minors to make room for Brandon Nimmo (hamstring) to return from the injured list.

Reinstated from 10-day IL Reed (forearm) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Impact Reed landed on the 10-day injured list Aug. 20, but he'll rejoin the Mets' bullpen after missing just under a month. The 28-year-old has made two relief appearances since he was claimed off waivers by the Mets in early August, and he struck out five in four scoreless innings during that time.
