Starts rehab assignment Gustave (COVID-19) reported to Triple-A Nashville on Wednesday to begin a rehab assignment, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Impact The right-hander has been sidelined since early August after testing positive for COVID-19, so he'll head to Triple-A to get back up to game speed before being activated. Gustave has given up only three hits with a 4:2 K:BB across seven scoreless frames for the Brewers this season.

Impact Gustave is working out again after completing a 15-day quarantine following his positive COVID-19 test. Even before he was deactivated, the 28-year-old wasn't seeing high-leverage work out of the Milwaukee bullpen, so the Brewers aren't likely to be in any rush to reinstate him from the COVID-19 injured list. He'll likely head out on a minor-league rehab assignment once he gets a few throwing sessions under his belt.
