Elevated to Double-A The Red Sox promoted Garcia from High-A Greenville to Double-A Portland on Monday, Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports. Impact With three of the Red Sox's top prospects in Roman Anthony, Kyle Teel and Marcelo Mayer making the move up to Triple-A Worcester, Garcia will receive a promotion of his own to fill one of the vacant roster spots at Portland. The 21-year-old outfielder will be moving up to his third affiliate of the season after beginning the campaign at Single-A Salem before joining Greenville in late May and slashing .311/.371/.632 with 16 home runs in 229 plate appearances during his time in the South Atlantic League.
