Impact Sherfy was hit hard in Friday's game against the Giants and was charged with the loss. Presumably, he began to experience the inflammation after that appearance. It's unclear how long he may be sidelined, though the Dodgers recalled Mitch White to provide bullpen depth in his absence.

Takes ugly loss Sherfy (2-1) took the loss Friday against the Giants after allowing three runs (two earned) on two hits over an inning of work.
Impact Sherfy came out to the mound in the 10th inning trying to preserve a 6-6 ballgame but was unable to do so. The Rockies quickly took the lead back with an RBI single by Trevor Story and then tacked on some insurance with a two-run homer from Charlie Blackmon.
