Quality start, consecutive wins Lyles (4-5) won Saturday's 7-3 game against Seattle, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks with six strikeouts in six innings.
Impact Lyles has been on a tear of late with three straight quality starts, tossing a total of 19 innings while surrendering five runs. His only trouble inning Saturday was the third, when he walked in a run with none out but was able to retire the next three batters to limit the damage to the single run. The start lowered Lyles ERA to 4.98, the lowest it's been since April.

Tosses seven strong frames Lyles (3-5) earned the win Sunday against the Royals after tossing seven innings of one-run ball, giving up seven hits and fanning four.
Impact Lyles delivered his best outing of the season by a wide margin Sunday, and there are encouraging signs that Lyles might be turning things around following a slow start to the season. Perhaps the biggest one is the fact that he has not given up a homer in three of his last five outings. He still owns a 5.12 ERA, but he's trending in the right direction of late. He's scheduled to pitch again next at Seattle.
