Facing hitters Tuesday Alcala (forearm) is scheduled to throw a simulated game Tuesday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

Impact Alcala is slated to face off against rehabbing teammates Byron Buxton (hamstring) and Alex Kirilloff (shoulder) in what could represent the final test for all three players' health before the Twins send them out on rehab assignment. The 28-year-old right-hander was placed on the injured list May 16 with a radial stress fracture of his right forearm and will likely require several outings in the minors to get fully ramped up following the lengthy layoff.
