Optioned down Briceno was optioned to the Angels' alternate training site Sunday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Impact With Max Stassi (knee) rejoining the active roster, Briceno's services were no longer needed at the big-league level. Briceno has appeared in just two games this season, recording one base knock in six trips to the plate.
