No help in 10th loss Quintana (10-10) allowed two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out nine over 4.1 innings to take the loss versus the Brewers on Saturday. Impact Quintana was pushed back in the rotation after a pair of rainouts in Atlanta due to Hurricane Helene. This was his first start since Sept. 18, and while he put in a decent performance, the Mets' offense mustered just two hits and a walk in support. Quintana has been dominant lately, allowing just four runs (three earned) across 36.1 innings over his last six starts of the regular season. His nine strikeouts Saturday were a season high. He ends the regular season with a 3.75 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 135:63 K:B over 170.1 innings over 31 starts. Should the Mets secure a playoff spot, Quintana may be included in the rotation during the wild-card round.
