Heading to National League Siri was traded from the Rays to the Mets on Tuesday in exchange for Eric Orze, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Impact Siri is eligible for arbitration and the Rays may have been on the fence about paying him coming off of a year where he hit .187 with a 37.9 percent strikeout rate. He turned 29 in July and was worth 2.6 fWAR as recently as 2023, so the Mets will bring him in to potentially take over center field duties with Harrison Bader a free agent.

Drives home four in win Siri went 2-for-4 with a homer, a double, and four RBI in Tuesday's 8-3 victory over the Red Sox.

Impact The Tampa Bay outfielder put the team in front 3-2 with his 339-foot solo shot down the left field line in the fifth inning. Siri later drove home the Rays' last three runs of the game with a bases-clearing double in the eighth. The 29-year-old has fallen out of everyday playing time, starting just 10 of Tampa Bay's 16 games in September, thanks in part to a team-worst 159 Ks in 431 total plate appearances. He is now slashing .192/.262/.379 with 18 homers, 16 doubles, 48 runs scored and 47 RBI this season.
