Impact Staumont just inked a minor-league contract with the Cubs two weeks ago after he had been released by the Twins and the righty has now been cut loose again. The 30-year-old made just two appearances with Triple-A Iowa, allowing two runs over one inning while walking five batters. Staumont looked a few years ago like he would have a nice career as a reliever, but he's struggled to bounce back from thoracic outlet syndrome surgery.
