Impact All the damage against Lynch came during the first two innings, including a three-run first frame by the Twins. It was his first time giving up more than three runs in an outing season his season debut on April 12. The 25-year-old southpaw has registered a 4.01 ERA through 33.2 innings this season. Lynch is lined up for a rematch in Minnesota next week.

Impact Griffin was unable to crack the Opening Day roster but will now receive his first big-league chance in 2022. The left-hander appeared in 13 games for Triple-A Omaha this season and has a 1.83 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 23:4 K:BB across 19.2 innings.

Impact Peacock was called up for a one-day stint with the Royals earlier this season but didn't take the mound, and he'll now rejoin the big club. Kansas City acquired him in April after he was designated for assignment by Arizona.

Impact The right-hander earned a spot in Kansas City's Opening Day rotation, but he's struggled through seven starts with a 9.10 ERA, 2.16 WHIP and 16:20 K:BB over 29.2 innings. Hernandez surrendered three runs over three innings Thursday against the White Sox, which was apparently the final straw. The 25-year-old could receive another look in the rotation later this season, but for now he'll attempt to straighten things out with Omaha. Brady Singer is the likely candidate to step into Hernandez's spot in the rotation.

Impact Isbel has notched consecutive multi-hit games after posting just two such efforts in his first 17 contests. The outfielder also showed off a little speed Thursday with his first stolen base of the year. The recent surge has him up to a .250/.261/.295 slash line with three RBI, six runs scored and a pair of doubles in 46 plate appearances. With Michael Taylor (illness) on the COVID-19 injured list, Isbel has a chance to fill a starting role in center field in the short term.

Impact Speier got into trouble when tasked with pitching the seventh inning. He allowed singles to three of the four batters he faced, with Adam Engel knocking in the go-ahead run for the White Sox.
