MJ Melendez - Earns 40-man roster spot Melendez was added to Kansas City's 40-man roster Friday.

Impact Few prospects improved their stock more than Melendez last season, as he hit 41 home runs across Double-A and Triple-A after a woeful run at High-A in 2019. Melendez can play third base and the outfield in addition to catching, but he may head back to Triple-A for the start of the 2022 season.

Impact Webb was a strikeout machine as a 23-year-old reliever at Low-A and High-A, and the Royals wanted to protect him from the Rule 5 draft. He should spend 2022 pitching in the upper levels of the minors.
