Kansas City Royals option three, including red-hot Nick Pratto, to Triple-A OmahaThe Royals roster is closer to being set after KC optioned three players to Triple-A, including Nick Pratto.

Drew Waters - Doesn't make Opening Day rosterThe Royals optioned Waters to Triple-A Omaha on Friday, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.
ImpactWaters had a solid spring, but Kyle Isbel was better and Isbel already had the perceived leg up for the center field job. The switch-hitting Waters should still spend ample time in the majors this season but will go to Omaha for the time being.

Nick Pratto - Optioned to Triple-AThe Royals optioned Pratto to Triple-A Omaha on Friday, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.
ImpactIf decisions were made strictly on spring performance, Pratto would have made the club, as he slashed a robust .421/.476/.816 with four home runs. First base, the corner outfield spots and designated hitter are spoken for with the Royals, though, so he'll head back to Omaha where he'll play every day.

Sam Hentges - Bound for ILHentges (finger) will begin the season on the injured list, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.
ImpactThere's no word yet on a specific diagnosis for Hentges' finger injury, but it's apparently bad enough that a stint on the IL will be required. It's a blow to the Guardians' bullpen, as he boasts a 2.91 ERA and 128:37 K:BB over 114.1 innings across the last two seasons.
MARCH 22ROTOWIRE
Myles Straw - Placed on waiversStraw has been placed on waivers by the Guardians, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.
ImpactStraw will undoubtedly clear waivers given that he's still owed about $20 million, but he has options remaining and it sounds like he could be left off the Opening Day roster. If that's the case, the Guardians would appear ready to roll with a combination of Estevan Florial, Ramon Laureano and Tyler Freeman in center field.
