The Giants couldn't get any offense going until the eighth inning, so Desclafani wasn't able to improve to 2-0. He has a stellar 11:0 K:BB while allowing just one run through 12.1 frames across two starts. DeSclafani is projected for a solid matchup in Detroit next weekend.

ImpactRogers needed just six pitches to quickly work through the ninth inning and finish off the 3-1 win. It was his first save chance of the season and he's now worked through four shutout frames with one strikeout and no walks to begin his 2023 campaign. Camilo Doval did not appear in the game and was likely unavailable after pitching Friday and Saturday.
