Jake Woodford - Another rehab start SaturdayWoodford (shoulder) is slated for a second rehab start Saturday with Triple-A Memphis, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.
ImpactWoodford gave up two earned runs on three hits and one walk over two innings Tuesday in his rehab debut with Memphis. He threw only 37 pitches in that outing and will technically be pitching on short rest (for a starter) in this next one, so it's becoming fairly clear that the Cardinals intend to bring him back as a long reliever. The 26-year-old has been on the injured list since May 5 due to right shoulder inflammation.

Bobby Witt Jr. - Logs another stealWitt went 0-for-4 with one RBI and a stolen base in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Cardinals.
ImpactWitt got the Royals on the board with a fielder's choice in the ninth inning, and he stole second but was left there to end the game. While he's gone just 1-for-16 over his last four games, he's also managed two steals in that span. The shortstop has gone 11 contests without a walk, striking out 13 times in that span. He's slashing just .228/.266/.430 with 10 home runs, 27 RBI, 35 runs scored and 17 steals through 55 games. The poor plate discipline has seen him hitting in the heart of the order recently after opening the year as the Royals' leadoff man.

ImpactHernandez entered Tuesday on an eight-inning scoreless streak, but that ended when he gave up an RBI double to Nolan Arenado in the sixth inning. Overall, Hernandez has taken a step forward this season, working as an effective middle reliever and occasional opener. He has a 3.54 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 38:8 K:BB across 28 innings through 23 appearances. Hernandez also has three holds and a blown save, but he's unlikely to be much of a factor for high-leverage situations.
