Matt Beaty - Placed on 7-day ILBeaty was placed on the 7-day concussion injured list Friday, Jaylon T. Thompson of The Kansas City Star reports.

ImpactAfter being ruled out of the lineup for a second straight game Friday, Beaty will be unavailable for at least a week while recovering from a concussion. Outfielder Nate Eaton was called up from Triple-A Omaha to replace Beaty on the major-league roster.

ImpactEaton was optioned to Omaha last week, but he will return to the majors as Matt Beaty lands on the 7-day concussion IL. Eaton has just three hits in 52 at-bats this season and will presumably serve as a bench piece while in Kansas City.
