Three scoreless frames in debut Tyler pitched three scoreless innings against Texas on Sunday, allowing one hit while striking out two. Impact Tyler was called up to the Halos last weekend, but he didn't get an opportunity to pitch until Sunday. The right-hander handled the final three innings of the game for the Angels, throwing 29 of 44 pitches for strikes and allowing only one baserunner. He retired the first eight batters he faced before yielding a two-out ninth-inning double to DJ Peters. It was an altogether impressive debut for Tyler, who is expected to fill a long-relief role after working mostly as a starter in the minors earlier this seaosn.
