Knocked around by Cubs Lynn (10-4) took the loss against the Cubs on Saturday, allowing seven runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out seven over five innings. Impact The veteran hurler surprisingly struggled against a rebuilding Cubs offense, as he gave up season highs with seven runs and three homers. Patrick Wisdom took him deep twice in the contest, and Rafael Ortega delivered a big blow with a fourth-inning grand slam. Lynn did manage to strike out seven batters after totaling only four punchouts in each of his previous two starts, but it was nonetheless a disappointing effort from the American League Cy Young candidate. He'll look for a better result in his next outing, which is scheduled to come at Kansas City next weekend.
