DFA'd by Miami Brinson was designated for assignment by the Marlins on Tuesday.

Impact Brinson was a highly-touted prospect when acquired from the Brewers in January of 2018, but he's failed to live up to that potential for the past few years. The 27-year-old appeared in 89 games for the Marlins last season and hit .226/.263/.376 with nine home runs, 33 RBI and 24 runs in 89 big-league contests. The move creates room on Miami's 40-man roster for Joey Wendle, who was acquired from Tampa Bay on Tuesday.
