Impact As expected, Suarez will be moving from the bullpen to take over the rotation spot that was created after the Angels demoted Caden Dana to Double-A Rocket City and placed Samuel Aldegheri (finger) on the injured list. Suarez has made just one other start with the Angels this season, which came back on June 11 versus the Diamondbacks. He failed to escape the third inning in that outing and was charged with four earned runs on six hits and one walk.

Impact Zach Neto is getting a rare day off, so Lopez will step in at shortstop after each of his previous seven starts with the Angels had come at second base. His return to the lineup Wednesday indicates that he's healthy, but Stefanic will likely have to settle for more of a part-time role once Brandon Drury is fully recovers from a hamstring injury. Drury is back in the lineup Wednesday as the Angels' designated hitter following a five-game absence.

Gustavo Campero - Swipes first big-league bag Campero went 2-for-4 with a run and a stolen base in Tuesday's 5-0 win against the White Sox.
Impact One day after notching his first major-league hit -- a run-scoring single -- Campero posted his first multi-hit performance with a pair of singles. He also recorded his first theft with a fifth-inning swipe of second base, which led to a run on a Nolan Schanuel double. Griffin Canning - Blanks White Sox Canning (6-13) got the win Tuesday against the White Sox after throwing six scoreless innings while allowing just three hits and two walks and striking out six.
Impact Canning bounced back in a big way after giving up a season high 10 runs (nine earned) in his previous start against the Twins. Canning played a part in handing the White Sox their 19th shutout loss of the season and it was his first time being part of a shutout win since May of 2023. Despite the dominant performance, Canning is third worst in baseball with 93 runs allowed this season, leading to a 5.16 ERA. The 28-year-old will have a much tougher test ahead of him against the Astros this weekend.
