Tyler Anderson - Fans seven in no-decision Anderson allowed two runs (one earned) on one hit and two walks while striking out seven batters over five innings in a no-decision against Texas on Saturday.

Impact Anderson wasn't very efficient in the outing, needing 92 pitches to get through five frames and throwing just 58 of those offerings for strikes. However, he managed to carry a no-hitter into the fifth inning and allowed just four baserunners overall (on two walks, a double and a fielding error). Anderson also racked up an impressive 17 whiffs en route to seven punchouts. The left-hander has recorded a 3.50 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 132:67 K:BB through 167.1 innings on the season.

Impact It appears as though Pillar picked up the injury during Friday's game against Texas after he replaced Jo Adell (oblique) in the second inning. With Adell joining Pillar on the injured list, Jordyn Adams and Bryce Teodosio were added to the 26-man roster and should see plenty of work in the outfield.

Impact When it was initially clarified that Wantz's season-ending surgery wasn't Tommy John, the expectation was that he'd be ready to take the mound again for spring training in 2025. However, he's since suffered a setback, casting uncertainty about his outlook moving forward. Wantz pitched in only one big-league game this season, allowing one run on one hit while striking out three batters over 1.1 innings June 30 against the Tigers.

José Soriano - Return this season uncertain Angels general manager Perry Minasian said last weekend that the the team hasn't yet decided if Soriano will be shut down from pitching this season, per MLB.com.

Impact Soriano said when he was placed on the IL following his Aug. 16 start that he doesn't believe he's dealing with a serious injury, and there's been no evidence to contradict that assessment. However, the right-hander has already blown past his previous professional high of 82.1 innings by tossing 113 frames this season and indicated that he was feeling arm fatigue before landing on the injured list, so the Angels -- who are well out of the playoff race -- may opt to play it safe and keep him sidelined for the remainder of the campaign. Soriano figures to be a key part of the team's starting rotation next year regardless of whether he returns to action in 2024.

Matt Moore - Not yet throwing Moore (forearm) hadn't yet resumed throwing as of Wednesday, per MLB.com.

Impact Moore has been on the injured list since Aug. 27 due to a left forearm strain. The southpaw said this week that he hopes to return to game action before the end of the campaign but also indicated that he doesn't plan to take any risks that could impact his long-term availability. Given that the Angels are well out of playoff contention, it seems likely that they will be conservative in determining when (or if) he will return to game action this season.

Carson Fulmer - Resumes playing catch Fulmer (elbow) has been playing light catch and is hoping to return to game action before the end of the season, per MLB.com.

Impact Fulmer landed on the injured list Aug. 30 due to right elbow inflammation. The right-hander first noticed the issue during his Aug. 25 start but continued pitching, and he attempted to throw a bullpen session days later before the decision was made to put him on the IL. While the injury doesn't appear to be serious and there remains a chance of Fulmer returning to action this season, the Angels are unlikely to rush his recovery since they are well out of the playoff race.
